Exciting Learning Week on India – Parent Information & Requests

Dear Parents,

Next week, we are excited to be learning all about India—one of my favorite topics!

Throughout the week, the children will explore Indian culture, create beautiful arts and crafts, learn about spices, discover Hindu festivals, and much more. As a special activity, we will also be taking part in a 'Hindu wedding!

Donations Request

To enhance our learning experience, we would greatly appreciate donations of Indian spices such as turmeric, ginger, cumin, garam masala, curry powder, etc.

Key Events Next Week

Tuesday – Maths Table HelpersWe are looking for a few parent volunteers to support our maths table. If you are available to help for a few hours, please email the school office.

Thursday – Extra PE LessonThe children will need to come to school in their PE kits as we have a specialist PE teacher from our School Sport Partnership leading a session. We will still have PE as normal on Friday morning.

Friday PM – Hindu Wedding CelebrationAs part of our cultural exploration, we will be holding a pretend Hindu wedding in the afternoon. If you have any Indian clothing at home that we could borrow for this event, we would be extremely grateful.
