Oh no! The countdown begins to the big C word!! Ssh!! Don't tell the children!! We've had another fun filled week - making Christmas hoops (Thanks to Mrs Francis and our LSAs), testing water resistance with plasticine and learning about deforestation. The next few weeks bring lots of information so please come and clarify any questions or queries with us, either via email or at the doors after school.
Residential:
Mr Towler held a meeting for the Yr 6 residential for our classes next year. The deposit to hold the place is due by Friday 13th December.
Southend United Homework:
The guys from Southend have asked if the children can cook a balanced meal this week. If they can please email a photo to contact us (I'll prewarn the office) and we can print it for them to place in their work booklets.

Your child will need a road worthy and correct size bike with two working brakes, a cycle helmet (not full face) and no stabilisers. Children will have to be successful in Level 1 on the Monday, to continue onto Level 2, which will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the same week. These sessions will take place on the roads local to school. Children will be allowed to wear PE kits (we recommend the tracksuit) for every Bikeability session, and please include a raincoat, as it will take place unless it is unsafe to do so. They may wish to bring in uniform to change into in case it is a wet ride. They are allowed to leave their bikes at school but please ensure you have a good bike lock. Whilst undertaking the course, we do not recommend they cycle home until they have the full training. To complete the training, they must be at every session.
