EYFS: End of Term Updates

End of Term Updates

As we approach the end of the term, please see a few important updates below.

PE and Independence SkillsOver the Christmas period, please support your child to practise taking off and putting on their own shoes and socks. Next term, our PE focus will be dance and gymnastics, and for some lessons the children will not be wearing shoes. Developing this independence will really support smooth transitions during PE sessions.

Spare ClothesIf your child has not had any accidents this term, there is no longer a need to send a spare change of clothes in their bag. However, if accidents are still a regular occurrence, please continue to ensure a full spare set of clothes is kept in school.

Learning at HomePlease continue to support your child with writing their name and working towards their individual targets shared at parents’ evening. These small, regular practise opportunities at home make a big difference to confidence and progress in school.

Tapestry – Sharing Family MomentsOver the Christmas period, we would love you to share photos on Tapestry. This could include family traditions, special moments, or everyday activities. These opportunities help children to talk about what makes their family special and support language, confidence and connection in class.

A Well-Deserved Spa Break! Finally, Mr Bug and the skipping ropes will be enjoying a well-deserved “spa break” (also known as time in Mrs Shorten’s washing machine!). As a result, there will be no Student of the Week next week.

We are so incredibly proud of all the children and the progress they have made this term. Thank you for your continued support, and we wish you all an amazing Christmas filled with joy, rest and special family moments. 🎄✨
