Year 3 Friday update
Well that was our last full week in year 3! A very busy and creative week- finishing making our Egyptian Death masks, discussing time zones in Geography, Writing persuasive letters in English and measuring capacity in Maths. Just a few notes about out last couple of days: Monday: Full uniform We will watching the Wild Robot in the afternoon. The children are welcome to bring in a snack of their choice. Please no nuts. Clothing for this week...
Dear families, Pupils have the option to wear PE kits on Monday and Tuesday this week, at parents' discretion. This is due to high temperatures continuing. We will review uniform for the latter half of the week on Wednesday. Furthermore.... To celebrate 'our boys' getting to the Semi Finals, we'll also be supporting our team by allowing the children to wear their England kits (or white/red) on Wednesday. Friday year 3 update
Well done to year 3 on another brilliant week. We have finished our spooky Egyptian stories in English, been measuring length in Maths, Studied William Smith in Science and learnt all about the tropics in Geography! KS2 District Sports extra practice session Thursday 2nd July and progammes.
There will be extra Districts training on Thursday 2nd July. If your child is taking part, a reminder that they will need to bring a packed lunch, plenty of water to stay well hydrated and a sunhat and sunscreen. They should attend school in PE kit. If the extremely hot weather continues, we will be adapting our Districts training session and running kept to an absolute minimum. Districts Training KS2
Districts Training- KS2 Due to the forecast of extremely hot weather, we will be adapting our Districts training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday this week. To ensure the children's safety, there will be no long-distance running or sprint training. Children who have been selected for the throwing events, long jump, or relay can still attend training, where we will focus on techniques and relay baton changeovers in shaded areas, with running kept to an absolute minimum.
