I hope you’re enjoying a lovely weekenddespite the weather!! I just wanted to let you know a little about our first week back after the holidays. Our new topic will be SPACE , where the children will be learning some exciting basics such as: What space is like Planets, stars, the moon and the sun Rockets and astronauts Our story focus for the first week will be Aliens Love Underpants  by Claire Freedman. Due to the WPSA Spring Fling Disco , the club will not run. Premier Education will issue a credit note for those children enrolled in the club. The last session for the Spring term will be Friday 20th March. The club will resume again for the Summer term, details of which will follow later when the timetable is published.

Our final trip Around the Wonderful World takes us to China , where we will be celebrating Chinese New Year – the Year of the Horse . Throughout the week, the children will be immersed in learning about Chinese New Year traditions and cultural aspects through a range of exciting activities. In maths, we will be comparing quantities using lucky red envelopes . Our story focus, The Great Race  by Emily Hiles , will help the children understand why the Chinese New Year animals

Next week we will be learning all about Australia . Our story focus will be Fluffles  by Vita Murrow . This is a lovely story about a brave koala bear, and it will help us explore themes of courage and adventure. Alongside this, we will be learning about different types of weather and comparing animals in Australia with those found in the UK. To support our learning, we are on the hunt for: Old newspapers  for an art project Any Australian artefacts , such as cork hats/boome
