EYFS: End of Week 1

Dear Parents,

What a wonderful first week it has been in Reception! The children have settled beautifully and we are incredibly proud of how well they have adapted to new routines, made friends, and embraced their learning with such enthusiasm. Their confidence is already beginning to shine, and it has been a joy to see so many happy faces in our classrooms.

We would also like to share a few gentle reminders:

  • Children should only bring water into school (no juice or squash, please).

  • Cycling shorts or leggings are not part of the P.E. uniform. Blue P.E. shorts or blue track pants only, please.

  • Children cannot wear earrings during P.E. If children have tape over their earrings, they will not be able to participate in the lesson.

If your child has not yet hatched and designed their monster on DOJO, please do this over the weekend. The children have already begun earning DOJOs, and next week we will be looking at their monsters together. We will also continue to celebrate DOJOs points to help establish and celebrate positive behaviours and learning attitudes.

Our mud kitchen has been a big hit this week! To ensure all children can take part fully, please make sure your child brings in a puddle suit and wellies if they haven’t already done so.

Thank you for your continued support. We are so excited for the year ahead and look forward to another fantastic week next week.
