Our exciting first half term draws to a close!

Next week, our theme is Superheroes, a week full of creativity, imagination, and fun!

Our story focus will be There’s a Superhero in Your Book!

Monday: Acorns and Conkers will need to come to school in their PE kits for an exciting rugby taster session.

Tuesday: We’ll be thinking about ourselves as superheroes and creating our very own superhero capes to show off our special powers! Please send your child in with a light-coloured or white pillowcase, which they will decorate to represent their unique superpowers.

We’ll also be getting creative during our Superhero Creative Craziness session, where the children will make their own walkie-talkies. Please send in mini cereal boxes for this activity.

After school on Tuesday, please join us for Parent Pop-In, a lovely chance to come and see some of the wonderful learning the children have been doing this half term!

Thursday: Don’t forget to grab your Halloween Disco tickets for after school! Parents are invited to come into class from 3:15pm to help their little ones change into their fancy dress outfits. You can then take your child’s belongings home before the disco begins.

After the disco, both Acorns and Conkers will be collected from the Conkers collection door.

Finally, we’ll finish the week with our final day of PE and a celebration of our super-selves!

As part of our activities, we’ll be making junk model instruments.

We’d love your help by on Monday sending in a variety of recyclable materials, such as:

• Different-sized cardboard boxes

• Plastic cups

• Rubber bands
