Next week, our story focus will be The Very Helpful Hedgehog by Rosie Wellesley! We’ll be diving into the wonderful world of British wildlife, discovering the habitats of animals that hibernate, and learning how we can help care for them as the colder months arrive.
To end our week, the children will be creating their very own hedgehog houses on Friday! These will be placed around our school grounds to provide cosy hideaways for our local wildlife.
We would really appreciate any donations of:
📰 Newspapers
🪶 Old blankets, pillowcases, or scrap materials

🎶 Nativity Auditions – Monday 🎶
We’re beginning our preparations for this year’s Christmas Nativity!
On Monday, we’ll be holding friendly auditions where children are welcome to sing a nursery rhyme of their choice. This is a lovely opportunity to build confidence in a fun, supportive environment and to help us find the perfect role for each child.✨ There is absolutely no pressure for any child to audition unless they would like to take part.
🍎 Maths Fun with Apples! 🍎
Next week in maths, we’ll be practising counting and grouping using apples! If you’re able to send in a few small red and green apples, it would be a huge help and make our learning even more exciting.
🎨 Weekend Home Challenge – Make Some Playdough! 🎨
If you have some spare time this weekend, we’d love for you to get creative in the kitchen with your child and make a batch of playdough for our Playdough Station. This is a fantastic way to support mathematical thinking through weighing, measuring, and exploring scientific changes in matter.
You can use this helpful recipe:👉 Cooked Playdough Recipe
Thank you, as always, for your continued support, we can’t wait for another exciting week of learning and creativity! 🦔💫
