Weekly Review (13.12.24)

mbird218

Good afternoon everyone! Another week done and now we sit with just 12 days until Christmas!! We've had a brilliant week this week where we've done everything from Shakespearean Sonnets, Christmas Dinners, History reviews and amazing maths work! The effort and enthusiasm still on display as we enter our final week of the term is extraordinary and we are both incredibly proud to see how well all our children are doing!

Homework:

As we head into our final week, we will still be setting SATs companion tasks for homework this week. Next week, we will be doing a 1 off spelling test of 20 words, testing some of our Year 5/6 spelling words. The words are the following:

  • achieve

  • bruise

  • communicate

  • develop

  • equip

  • frequently

  • government

  • harass

  • identity

  • immediate

  • lightning

  • muscle

  • nuisance

  • occur

  • persuade

  • recognise

  • rhyme

  • shoulder

  • temperature

  • vehicle

Christmas Party

Next Thursday, we will be hosting a Christmas party! As part of this, we will be watching Goodnight Mr Tom - linking to our reading lessons this term. If your child would like to bring in a snack to enjoy while watching the film, please do send them in with something (no nuts please!). Mr Wade and I will provide drinks! Also, if they would like to bring in a non-valuable, non-electronic game to play with friends then send them in with this too!

Dates

16.12.24 - Yr 6 Football Match vs Great Wakering

18.12.24 - Christmas Assembly

19.12.24 - Class Party

20.12.24 - LAST DAY OF TERM!!

Have a lovely weekend, we look forward to seeing you all on Monday!
