Year 3 - School Trip Volunteers Needed - Monday 12th January 2026

Dear Parents and Carers of Snowdrops and Bluebells,

On Monday 12th January 2026, our Year 3 children will be taking part in a short local fieldwork walk around Hockley to explore and compare some of the old and new buildings in the area.

We are looking for any kind offers of help from parents, carers, grandparents, or other volunteers who may be able to support us on this short mini trip. The walk will last approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, moving at a steady, child-friendly pace. As it will be outdoors in January, volunteers will need to wrap up warm.

Because we will be walking together as a whole year group, there is no requirement for volunteers to be DBS checked. We are simply looking for some extra hands to help support the children as they walk their local area and spot geographical features along the way.

The walk will take place from approximately 9:45am to 10:45am. If it helps with timings, you are very welcome to come straight in after dropping your child off in the morning and stay in school until we set off, rather than returning later.
