Year 4 - Good morning all!

adillnutt

Tomorrow is World Book Day, and we can’t wait to see all the fantastic costumes! We have a fun-filled day ahead, including an exciting workshop with author Tessa Buckley, visits from the students in Conkers and Daisies, and a costume parade in the afternoon. It’s set to be a wonderful celebration of reading and storytelling!

As the week progresses, Doodle tasks will focus on estimating, comparing, and calculating different measures, including money in pounds and pence. In English, we’re revisiting adjectives, nouns, and preposition phrases—key skills that will help strengthen our in-class writing. The weekly spelling test on Friday will cover words ending in ‘-ssion,’ so be sure to check Spelling Shed and the children’s spelling books for practice at home.

Finally, we are thrilled to begin rehearsals for Westerings the Musical this week! We’re already seeing the performances take shape as pupils have been allocated their lines and will be asked to start rehearsing them at home, alongside the songs!

The year 4 team,

:)
