We've had an incredibly productive and engaging week across all subjects. The children have shown fantastic teamwork and creativity, and we are delighted to share some of our highlights!
Team Spirit and Achievement
We were so incredibly proud of all the children as they all took part in the Cross Country trials this week. Every child demonstrated a real team spirit, cheering everyone on enthusiastically, which was wonderful to witness. Results for the trials will be shared soon.
Parents Evening - We look forward to seeing some of you at Parents Evening on Monday! If you are still yet to book an appointment, please speak to the office regarding making an appointment to see us at another time. Thank you
Curriculum Highlights
English: We successfully finished our five-part narrative about a spell gone wrong today! The children's ideas truly blew us away, and the flow and structure of their writing is really coming along now.
Design & Technology: After a successful design phase, we are looking forward to starting to make our catapults over the next coming weeks.
Local Study: We had a great time on our local Hockley visit on Tuesday, collecting data and valuable information about the town our school is in.
Spanish: We made great progress in Spanish by using classroom commands to programme a robot—an interactive way to reinforce key vocabulary!
Maths: We focused on finding factor pairs and using known facts to solve trickier questions (e.g., knowing 4 multiplied by 2 = 8 which helps us solve 40 multiplied by 2 = 80)
Reading: We have been delving deeper into Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I wonder if your child can tell you what exciting things have been happening so far?
