Year 4 weekly update

Hello everyone!

We hope that your children were as excited as we were about last week’s cooking day! As we head into the final week before the holidays, Doodle Learning will focus on decimal equivalents of fractions in maths and a refresher on punctuating speech in English—remember, new speaker, new line!

On Spelling Shed, we’re continuing with words that are homophones. Ivy Class will have revision periods throughout the week to practise in preparation for Friday’s test, with consideration given to two sets of words.

We encourage all students to log as much reading as possible on Boom Reader over the holidays—keeping up the momentum will make a huge difference! Plus, for those working hard on Times Tables Rock Stars, there’s an exciting nut-note incentive that Mr Stainsbury has already explained to the students. The calendar for this will be handed out on Friday.

Finally, we hope you all enjoy the wonderful weather over the break and get the rest and recuperation needed to come back refreshed and energised next term!
