Year 6 Weekly Review (wb. 8/9/25)

Afternoon everybody! It has been an awesome first full week here in Year 6. New books, new topics and new learning taking place everyday has led to an exciting start to the year and one that we have all really enjoyed. Review:

In English and Reading lessons, we have been exploring the book Holes. On Monday, Mr Wade donned his cowboy hat and played the role of Mr Sir as we made the children get into character as children at Camp Green Lake! In Maths, we have been exploring place value and decimals, studying the use of tenths, hundredths and thousandths in sport. In Science, we have been working on classification keys and in PE, we have begun our units on Dodgeball and Basketball. Homework: Well done to those who have the started the year off brilliantly, reading 4 times at home and completing their SATs Companion tasks. These are our expectations in Year 6 and, if completed, will undoubtedly put your children in a great place ready for Secondary School!
