Thursday 5th February. We apologise for the very short notice but streetdance and singing and drama clubs are cancelled today. If possible, please do not attend school until the usual time this morning and arrange to collect your child as usual at the end of the day. Year 5/6 pupils with parental permission to walk home at the end of the day, will be released as normal unless we are advised otherwise.

Morning everyone! On the first day back after half term, Westerings will be holding a Times Table Rockstar Day! Children will be coming in dressed up as their favourite rockstars! Prizes to be won for best costumes! We will be unveiling our new 144 Challenge! There will be class battles, whole school competitions and plenty of other fun across the day! Year 3/4 parents, at 2:15 I will be hosting a parent workshop to explore Times Table teaching, as well as explaining the MT

As the weather is dry, our hardworking WPSA members will set up outside the green fence line opposite the main hall entrance from 3.00pm.

A reminder that the primary school (Reception) admission round opened on Monday 10 November 2025 , for parents of children to apply for a Reception school place for the academic year that starts in September 2026. Even if you already have a sibling at school, you will still need to apply if you have a child due to start Reception next September. The statutory national closing date for applications is 15 January 2026 .Applications can be made online via www.essex.gov.uk/ad
