Continuing junction closure to Hockley Rise

The break is almost at an end, and soon your little ones will be back at school! But, 

(and I hate to be the bearer of bad news…) Cadent have informed us that:

“The junction closure to Hockley Rise has been extended until week ending 23rd 

November. This extension is required as the team needed to open-cut the section to install a new 90mm main rather than using our preferred method of inserting the new pipe into the existing one.

This was required to ensure a safe and reliable flow of gas to connected properties.

Maintaining the junction closure has helped us avoid the need for 4-way traffic lights, which would have caused significant congestion in the area.

We understand that this situation isn't ideal for residents, and we appreciate that 

any disruption or uncertainty can be frustrating. Please be assured that we're 

working closely with our teams to minimise the impact and get their roads back to normal as quickly and safely as possible.”

So, as before, please do consider walking to school if you’re able, and leave plenty of time to get to school between our registration window of 8:40-8:50am.
