Just a quick note to say a huge thank you to everyone who made playdough and kindly donated items for our hedgehog houses. Your support really helps us create wonderful learning experiences for the children.
I also wanted to apologise for not updating the children’s reading records today. We’ve been completing phonics and maths assessments so we have up-to-date information ready for parents’ evening. We are so proud of how much the children have achieved in such a short time.
From next week, your child’s reading books will reflect their new reading level, and any changes to phonics groups will begin from tomorrow.

What are “Special Friends” in Read Write Inc.?
In Read Write Inc., Special Friends are two or three letters that work together to make one sound. Instead of saying each letter separately, children learn to recognise the group of letters as a single sound. This helps them read words more smoothly and confidently.
