EYFS Messages

Dear Parents,

We were absolutely thrilled by how well the children performed in their auditions yesterday for our Christmas play! We are so proud of their enthusiasm and effort.

We will be sending home the specific roles this week. Once you know your child's part, you will be able to arrange a suitable costume.

If you have any questions about costumes, please don't hesitate to catch me at the gate!

Next week our learning will be centred around the story 'One Snowy Night' by Nick Butterworth. We’ll be using the book to explore the season of winter, including looking closely at ice, carrying out simple experiments, and talking about what happens during the colder months and the types of clothing we need to keep warm.

As part of our whole-school writing task, we will also be taking part in a writing session linked to pulley systems. The children will be creating labels and simple instructions to accompany different pulley activities.

If anyone has a pulley toy at home, or works in construction and is able to lend us a real pulley, we would be extremely grateful. We will need the items for Wednesday, and they will be well looked after and returned promptly.

Thank you for your support!
