Next week, we’ll be diving into Minibeasts, with a special focus on ladybirds!

Our story of the week is The Bad-Tempered Ladybird by Eric Carle. This lovely story follows a ladybird who learns about friendship, sharing and managing emotions after a series of encounters with other animals. We’ll be using the story to explore and express the different feelings the characters experience along the way.

On Wednesday, we would love to create our very own ladybirds. If you happen to go on a walk between now and then and find a big, round stone, please bring it in so we can paint them.

On Friday, we will be going on a bug hunt! Please ensure your child’s wellies and puddle suit are returned to school by then, if you haven’t done so already.
