EYFS Updates

EYFS Updates šŸŒŠšŸššŸŒ

The children have had a wonderful first week back settling into our new topic, Beach Buddies and Planet Protectors! We are so impressed with how well they all returned to school and how eager they have been to learn.

We kicked off our topic with the fantastic story Billy's BucketĀ by Kes Gray and Garry Parsons. This imaginative tale follows Billy, who receives an ordinary-looking bucket for his birthday, only to discover it contains an extraordinary underwater world filled with amazing sea creatures! The story inspired the children to use their own imaginations to create magical worlds inside their buckets.

Later in the week, we explored the important topic of water safety. The children discussed the dangers of water and shared ideas about how to stay safe and responsible when near rivers, lakes, beaches and swimming pools.

Next Week

We will be reading Somebody Swallowed StanleyĀ by Sarah Roberts, a beautiful and thought-provoking story about plastic pollution and its impact on our oceans and wildlife. Through Stanley's journey, the children will learn about the importance of caring for our environment and discover ways that we can all help to reduce pollution and protect our planet.

Next Friday our WPSA will be hosting the Father's and Fantastic others gift shop. Please send your children with; a gift bag, spending money and a list of the special people they might like to buy for.

To support our learning and activities next week, we would greatly appreciate any donations of the following items:

ā™»ļø Old plastic bags

ā™»ļø Unwanted toy sea creatures

ā™»ļø Large plastic bottles

ā™»ļø Toilet roll or kitchen roll tubes

ā™»ļø Yogurt pots

ā™»ļø Egg boxes

Thank you for your continued support. We are looking forward to another exciting week of learning and discovery!
