EYFS UPDATES

This week, we will be enjoying the lovely story The Storm Whale by Benji Davies. This beautifully illustrated tale tells the story of Noi, a young boy who discovers a stranded whale on the beach and forms a very special friendship. The story provides lots of opportunities for us to explore themes of friendship, kindness, caring for others, and family relationships.

In Maths, we will be learning to sort 2D shapes by identifying their features, including the number of sides and corners. The children will be encouraged to talk about what they notice and explain how they have grouped different shapes.

Sports Day Reminder

We are looking forward to our Sports Day on Thursday afternoon and hope the children are too!

Please refer to the previous post regarding your child's house team and house colour. Children should come to school wearing their usual PE shorts and their house-coloured T-shirt. They will also need a named water bottle and a sun hat. Please ensure sun cream is applied before school if needed.

As the children will be taking part in Sports Day on Thursday, we will not be having our usual PE session on Friday. Therefore, children should come to school on Friday wearing their normal school uniform, unless alternative arrangements are communicated via the app due to the weather forecast.
