Friday update

Good morning! A great first week back in year 3. We have began reading some new exciting texts such as the Wild Robot. We have conducted a science experiment learning all about friction and have learnt about the artist Georgia O'Keefee ready for our painting unit this term. The children are also very excited about our new theme of pirates in English!

This week's spellings are: osprey, obey, survey, prey, disobey, conveyor, grey, they, surveyor, convey.

Your doodle assignment will be on Doodle English this week. Please try to complete and earn those dojos! Extra for keeping in the green zone and completing your five a day.

You should be trying to aim for 4 reads a week and recording on boom reader. Star readers earn 4 dojos and a chance to get a book from our school book vending machine.

There has been a letter sent out regarding our pirate day and year 3 performance this half term. Please see the letter that has been added to the app and also on dojo today. It has details about reserving your tickets from 6pm.

A reminder that PE is Monday from next week.
