Friday update!

A lovely first week back. A short one but very busy! We have started a new topic in History: "Walk like an Egyptian" We have already started to look at key dates and chronology and began our class reader: The ancient Egyptian Sleepover.

We are looking at handling data in Maths and we have been learning how to understand and interpret different tables and graphs. In English we are looking at how to write a good set of instructions. We will be eventually writing how to mummify your best friend!

This week your doodle homework assignment is on doodle maths. This week's spellings are: teacher, catcher, richer, stretcher, watcher, dispatcher, butcher, preacher, cruncher, scorcher.

Next week the children have their swimming lessons. They can come in everyday in their PE kit to make changing easier. Please remember everyday to pack their swimming costumes, towels, googles and swimming hats. Also please bring a lightweight waterproof jacket in case it is raining. The children will need to walk forward and backwards from the mini-bus to the pool.

If your child is in Snowdrops class they will need a school packed lunch each day please and some will need to leave early for swimming in the afternoon, If your child is entitled to a free school packed lunch then please inform the office.

Have a wonderful weekend,

The year 3 team :)
