What a fantastic week of learning year three have had this week! Lots of continued place vlaue work in Maths looking at comparing and ordering 3 digit numbers; finding out about stone age tools, rocks testing and writing using a variety of effects in English. We are also enjoying our class read of The Iron Man.
Well done on all those who completed their doodle assignment this week. Your next one is on Doodle English. Remember to keep in the green zone to get thise extra dojos! It has been great to see so many reads recorded on boom reader this week too.
The children have enjoyed starting using timestables.co.uk this week and are working hard towards learning their timestables. This can be used at home as well as school.
New spellings this week have been stuck in their spelling journals. They are:
touch, double, country, trouble, young, cousin, enough, couple, encourage, flourish.
The children can log on to spelling shed to practise learning these spellings using some fun games and quizzes. if you log on to the mastery zone they can also practise a range of spellngs linked to their own abilities too.
Don't forget next Wednesday is our exciting Stone age workshop. We look forward to seeing you all dressed up as stone age girls and boys!
