Year 2 - New Half Term Reminders & Exciting Events!

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back for a busy and exciting new half term. Please see the important information below:

🎸 TTRS Day – Monday (First Day Back)

On the first Monday back, we will be celebrating Times Tables Rock Stars Day!

Children are invited to come to school dressed as rock stars for the day. 🎤✨

📚 World Book Day – Thursday 5th March

We will be celebrating World Book Day for the whole day on Thursday 5th March, as this year marks the National Year of Reading.

To mark the occasion, we will be focussing on the author - Julia Donaldson. This year her new book Gruffalo’s Granny is being released. Each class will be exploring a Julia Donaldson text and exploring fun activities linked to it.

A few reminders:

• Please continue to support our Sponsored Read over half term – thank you for your encouragement at home.

• All staff will be dressing up!

• We kindly ask that children do not wear football kits
