Dear Violet Class Families,
As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you.
Teaching your children has been an absolute privilege. They have made me laugh every single day, amazed me with their curiosity, kindness and resilience, and filled our classroom with so many memories that I will treasure for a very long time. Watching them grow, not just academically, but as thoughtful, funny, caring little people, has been the greatest joy.
I also want to say an enormous thank you for your incredibly thoughtful cards, generous gifts and kind words. I have been completely overwhelmed by your kindness. Every card has been read with a huge smile (and, I must admit, a few happy tears!)
To all of our parents and carers, thank you. Thank you for every reading book you've listened to, every spelling practice, every piece of homework encouraged, every costume found at the last minute, every packed lunch, every early morning, every kind email, every conversation at the classroom door, and every way you've supported your child throughout the year. Schools and families achieve the very best when we work together, and I have been so grateful for your encouragement, trust and support. It has meant more than you probably realise.
Thank you, too, for sharing your wonderful children with me each day. They have each brought something unique to Violet Class, and I hope they know just how proud I am of every single one of them. Every child has grown in their own way, and every achievement—big or small—has been worth celebrating.
As they take their next exciting step into Year 3, I hope they do so with confidence, curiosity and belief in themselves. I hope they continue to ask questions, make mistakes bravely, work hard, be kind to others and never lose the sparkle that makes each of them so special. I know they are ready for the adventures that lie ahead, and I cannot wait to hear about all the amazing things they go on to achieve.
I hope you all have a summer filled with sunshine, laughter, adventures, lazy mornings, bedtime stories, ice creams, muddy walks, seaside trips, garden games, cosy movie nights and precious moments together. Childhood passes so quickly, and I hope you make beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
Finally, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your family's journey this year. It has truly been an honour to teach such a wonderful class. Violet Class will always hold a very special place in my heart, and I will miss each and every one of them more than they know.
Wishing you all a safe, happy and relaxing summer, and wishing every one of my incredible children the very best of luck as they begin their Year 3 adventure.
Keep being kind. Keep being curious. Keep believing in yourselves.
With all my very best wishes,
Miss Dee 💜
