READING

Dear Parents,

We believe that reading is a fundamental skill that opens doors to countless opportunities. To foster a love of reading and support your child's academic growth, we encourage you to make reading a regular part of your child's daily routine.

Why Home Reading Matters:

  • Improved Literacy Skills: Consistent reading practice enhances reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.

  • Enhanced Academic Performance: Strong reading skills positively impact performance in all subjects.

  • Stimulated Imagination: Reading sparks creativity and imagination, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Logging Reading on Boom Reader:

Please remember to log your child's reading time on Boom Reader. This helps us monitor their progress and provide personalised support.

Rewarding Reading at Home:

We'll reward children with Dojo points each week if they have read at least 4 times a week. Additionally, we'll enter them into a raffle to win a book from the school vending machine!

Thank you for your partnership in nurturing a love of reading!
