Safety of Children Walking Home

Dear parents and carers,

It has come to our attention that a number of Upper Key Stage 2 students, who walk home after school, have been crossing busy local roads without using available pedestrian crossings (especially the end of Tudor Way across Main Road).

We have discussed with all of Year 6 today about their safety being paramount, and shown them potential better routes if they usually walk this way. If you have any concerns about your child's route home, please talk to them about alternative routes or, if suitable, organise to meet them at a safer location closer to school.

Kind regards,

Mr Wade
