The Power of Reading at Home

Reading is one of the most important things you can do with your child to help them succeed in school and in life. Just 10 minutes of reading together each day can make a huge difference, building their vocabulary, improving their concentration, and sparking their imagination. It's also a wonderful way to bond and create lasting memories.

To help you get started, I've compiled a list of recommended texts for Year 5 full of fantastic stories and characters to explore together!

If you'd like to get even more involved, we invite you to join our Reading Army! This is a fantastic opportunity for parents to come into the classroom and support our students with their reading. Your time and support make a huge difference.

Thank you for everything you do to support your child's learning.

Happy reading!
