Dear Year 3 children and families,
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all back into the classroom tomorrow morning. We hope you are feeling excited — you are now officially in KS2! 🎉
Please remember to bring in your named pencil case. It doesn't need to be huge — in fact, a compact pencil case is best as it will fit neatly in the back of your chair and help you stay organised.
Please include:
✏️ Pencil
🧽 Rubber
📏 Ruler
✏️ Sharpener
🧴 Glue stick
🖍️ Colouring pencils
We have colouring pencils available in school, but if you would like to bring your own, you are very welcome to do so.
School pens will be provided by the teachers when needed.
Over the next couple of days, we will be completing some activities as part of “Zola’s Hearts and Minds”. These activities will focus on settling back into school, supporting our emotional wellbeing, having fun and getting to know one another.
We can't wait to get started and see you all!
Just a reminder that our PE day will be Thursdays, starting on Thursday 10th September.
Our first topic this half term is “Digging Up the Past.”
We are going to have lots of fun learning all about the Stone Age, as well as exploring rocks and soils. We have lots of exciting learning planned!
Keep an eye out for a letter coming soon with details about an exciting Stone Age workshop.
Each Friday, we will send home a little weekly update sharing what we have been learning, along with any important messages or reminders.
We will also include the spellings for the week ahead, so you know what to practise at home.
We can't wait to see you tomorrow and begin our Year 3 adventure together!
See you soon,
Mrs Towler & Miss Sealey 🌟
