Year 1 Phonics Screening Check


Hello! As you are aware, the phonics screening check will be the first week back after the half term. Please find below some links to resources and videos that will support your child over the holidays. We understand that lots of you will have days out, holidays etc planned but if you can find just 5 minutes a day, this will make a huge difference and give your child the best chance of acing the test!


We will be sending home your child's most recent phonics screening check practise paper for your reference. If your child has scored 34 or above, this would be considered a secure pass. For scores below this, we would recommend some additional practice, which could really help build their confidence and strengthen their reading skills in preparation for the check.
