💜 Tie-Dye Day Helpers Needed 💜
Wednesday 4th March | 12:45pm – 3:10pm
Dear Parents and Carers of Violet and Poppy Class,
We are absolutely thrilled to let you know that our Year 2 children will soon be transforming into tie-dye designers! On Wednesday 4th March (12:45–3:10pm), we will be creating our fabulous tie-dye t-shirts ready for our exciting end-of-term celebration.
This is a wonderfully messy, colourful and creative afternoon… which means we would be incredibly grateful for a few extra pairs of helpful hands! If you are available to support us with rinsing, twisting, tying, squirting colour and general rainbow-wrangling, we would LOVE to have you join us.
No previous tie-dye experience required — just enthusiasm and clothes you don’t mind getting a little splash of colour on!
If you are able to help, please let your child’s class teacher know as soon as possible.

🧵 Sewing Helpers Needed 🧵

Dear Parents and Carers of Violet and Poppy Class,
The creativity continues!
On Wednesday 18th March (8:40am–12:00pm), our Year 2 children will be sewing pockets onto their completed tie-dye t-shirts. Yes… actual sewing! We will be learning how to safely use needles, thread carefully, and stitch with patience and pride.
As you can imagine, threading needles with 6- and 7-year-olds is no small mission! We would be so grateful for some parent helpers to support the children as they carefully sew their wonderful creations.
If you are able to spare the morning (or even part of it), we would absolutely love your help. Please let your class teacher know if you are available.
Thank you for helping us build resilience, independence and some very impressive sewing skills!

✨ Year 2 Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! ✨
On Friday 27th March (12:45–3:10pm), we will be celebrating the children’s incredible hard work with a tea party in our classrooms. The children will proudly wear their completed tie-dye t-shirts, complete with their sewn pockets and printed designs — and we cannot wait for you to see them!
We would love for parents, carers and grandparents to join us for a delightful afternoon of celebration, chatter and cheer.
To help make our tea party extra special, we kindly ask if families could send in a small contribution of classic tea party food or drink. Think traditional tea-time treats — sandwiches, scones, cupcakes, biscuits, fruit, juice etc.
