Year 2 Weekly update

🌸 Violet & Poppies Weekly Update 🌸

Hello everyone,

We’ve had such a wonderful week in Year 2, and I wanted to share a few little updates with you all.

🌟 School Trip RemindersOur trip is coming up soon and the children are very excited! Please remember to send your child with:

• A packed lunch and plenty of drinks for the whole day (there won’t be anywhere to refill bottles).

• Non-school uniform is fine, but please make sure they are in comfortable layers and sensible footwear.

• Don’t forget waterproofs or a sunhat, depending on what the weather decides to do that day!

  
  

👟 PE this week

On Thursday the lovely Flying Start PE team will be with us. Children can come to school in their PE kits on Thursday and stay in them all day.

📖 In English

We’ve begun exploring the delightful story There Is No Dragon in This Story, which has sparked so much laughter and imagination in class. This is leading us towards writing our very own non-chronologic

al reports all about dragons – the children are already buzzing with ideas!

➕ In Maths

We’ve been having fun with Mr Snappy, learning how to use the greater than and less than symbols to compare numbers. Perhaps you can challenge your child at home with some number sentences for Mr Snappy to “snap” at!
