Year 3 Friday update

Good morning! Thank you for all that attended our performances of "The Great Space Adventure" The children looked brilliant and performed so well. Thank you for all your help and support to make it a success.

Over half term the children will not be set spellings to learn. They will get new ones the first Friday back.

Please keep up with your home reading. Extra boom reader log ins have been given out to children if we have seen no home reading engagement. Please take the time to record their reads on this platform, The children get rewarded with dojos and bookd from our vending machine! Reading is the most important tool the children can have at this age to help them understand and access the rest of the curriculum.

The first Monday ( 23rd February) back after half term we will all be dressing up as rock stars for our TTRs day. Details have been given out already about this. There will be a short workshop for parents in the afternoon and a chance for you to join in with your child.

We will also have World book day coming up on the 5th March, so begin to think about your costumes, it's always a brilliant day at Westerings! There will be a book fair after school on Tuesday 3rd March.
