We are all very excited for the residential trip tomorrow! Here's everything you need to know to help the day go smoothly:
Children should arrive at school at the normal time, ready to leave Westerings promptly at 9:00am. Pick-up will also be at the usual time of 3:20pm. Please ensure your child is wearing sensible outdoor clothing, as we’ll be active and spending time outside.
With the hot weather forecast, it is essential that children arrive wearing suncream and a hat. They should also bring suncream with them so they can top it up throughout the day. Each child needs to bring two water bottles – they will be able to refill them during the day to stay hydrated. A packed lunch will also be required, so please make sure this is packed and ready.
Phones and all forms of technology must be left at home – we are encouraging a tech-free experience.
Children do not need to bring any sweets; we will be providing sweet treats during the trip. Please refer to the previously sent kit list and letter to double-check your child has everything they need.
We still have a couple of children who haven’t yet returned their forms confirming their evening collection options. If your child is not returning to school that evening, or will be picked up at 9:00pm or Saturday morning at 9:00am, it is vital that this form is returned tomorrow for safeguarding purposes.
For those of you kindly volunteering as parent helpers, please arrive at 8:30am so we can go through the day’s plan together.
Tomorrow evening, children should arrive back at 6:30pm via the Sunny Road gate. A member of staff will meet you there, and we’ll head into the main hall together for the register.
Throughout the day/night, we will upload photos as and when we can. A full folder of images will be shared with you next week, so you can enjoy a proper look at all the fun your children have had!
Reminders for next week:
Mon - PE, transition afternoon (Willows to meet Mr Bird, Hazel to meet Mr Wade)
Tues - watching the Y6 dress rehearsal
Weds - RSE lesson on FGM (will be age-appropriate and sensitively handled)
Thank you for your continued support. We’re looking forward to a fantastic, adventure-filled experience with the children!
