Year 5 Weekly Blog wb. 29th September

What a brilliant week we've had in the classroom, jam-packed with new and exciting topics! In Maths, we've been tackling some challenging concepts by exploring negative numbers and honing our skills in rounding, using number lines to make sense of it all. In English, the children really impressed us with their first "hot task," a detailed character description of the epic hero, Beowulf. We journeyed back in time for History, learning all about Viking daily life and comparing it to Anglo-Saxon culture, while in Science we looked to the skies to learn about the different phases of the moon.

A huge thank you for all the reading you're doing at home—it makes such a difference! Please remember to log your child's reading on Boom Reader so we can celebrate their hard work and progress.
