Our Learning This Week
What a fantastic and inspiring week we have had! From showcasing our school pride to expert visitors, to exploring the vital careers dedicated to protecting our planet, the children have demonstrated incredible focus, curiosity, and maturity.
School Spotlight: Welcome to Our Guests!
Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome visiting headteachers from across our trust. We could not be prouder of how the children conducted themselves. They spoke beautifully to our visitors, demonstrated impeccable behaviour in class, and truly showed off their excellent attitude toward learning. They were absolute ambassadors for our school!
Geography & Science: Protectors of the Planet
This week, our geography unit truly came to life through an exciting online Zoom meeting with three environmental experts: a countryside ranger, a marine biologist, and a climate change action manager. The children were deeply engaged, learning about these vital careers and asking some brilliant, thoughtful questions. This session gave everyone a much deeper understanding of the importance of looking after our environment.
Maths: Putting Skills to the Test
It was a big week for mathematics as the children completed their half-termly arithmetic test. We are so incredibly proud of their achievements and the progress they are showing. These tests have been sent home with the children this week - please take some time to look through them together and continue to support your child's hard work at home.
