Year 6 Weekly Review (wb. 6.10.25)

We have had another brilliant week in Year 6 this week, all kicked off by an awesome Wild West session on Monday! The children had an awesome time competing in a wild variety of activities in the morning, before going head-to-head in an intense game of CHUCK THE CHICKEN in the afternoon. It was a lot of fun and it helped develop teamwork, resilience and drive.

Also this week, we have been busy conducting more experiments in our Science lessons, debating about Camp Green Lake in English, getting stuck into basketball and dodgeball matches in PE and working on fractions of amounts in Arithmetic!

Next Week: Next week, we will be conducting our first of 3 mock SATs weeks across the year. The point of this week is to prepare, not scare, our children for the week in May, as well as to support Mr Wade and I to shape our curriculum going forward. The children may be nervous for this week but, as we have been saying in class, there is no need for nerves! Once the tests are marked, we will feedback to pupils and then to you parents in our upcoming parents evening appointments! There will be no spelling test next week. We hope you all have a lovely weekend - one more week until half term! Mr Bird & Mr Wade
