Dear parents and carers,
Another great week this week, with the peak undoubtedly being World Book Day! We've begun studying suspense stories in English, cracked coordinates in Maths, looked at food intolerance, allergies and hygiene in DT, WW2 evacuation in History, and much more.
Spellings
This week's spellings are a tricky mix of Year 5/6 Statutory spellings - don't forget every week we set these as an assignment on Spelling Shed, which children can access to practise.

Mock SATs, week after next (w.b. 16th March)
Just an early heads-up that Year 6 will be undertaking their 3rd and final mock SATs in a couple of weeks. This gives children another milestone opportunity to showcase their best before the real things in May. The 2nd mock SATs (handed to you during parent consultations) provide a vital revision tool - if you have not already had the chance to look over these, and discuss/work with your child on target areas as discussed at parents evening, any opportunity you do get next week to do so will greatly help your child in these upcoming assessments.
Mother's Day Gift Shop
As per the other communication, the WPSA Mother's Day Gift shop will be on Friday 13th, next week.
Wishing you a lovely weekend,
The Year 6 Team
