Dear parents and carers,
A brilliant week as always for Year 6! In English, we've planned and drafted our latest hot tasks based on our class book Codename: Kingfisher; in Maths we've delved into the depths of multiplication, including decimals x integers; in Science we learnt about Charles Darwin, his Galapagos finches and his theories of evolution and natural selection; in PE we had a special rugby taster session and in DT we designed our own all-terrain vehicles ahead of our DT Buggy Workshop next week in school.

Art on Monday - old shirts!
We are beginning our long-awaited lino printing art pieces on Monday. As such, could children please bring in an old t-shirt or shirt to wear over their school uniform to help avoid or minimise any chance of ink staining uniforms! Thanks.
Parent Consultations
Thank you to all parents and carers who attended this week's first round of parents' consultations, we hope they proved formative and helpful in gaining understanding of your child's progress, and areas for development from their Mock SATs. If you have not yet booked for Monday 24th November and wish to, please email the school office as soon as possible as slots may still be available with your child's classroom teacher.
DT Buggy Workshop
On Thursday next week we will be welcoming Bricks4Kidz to our Year 6 classrooms, bringing with them Lego technics kits for children to collaborate and build and test all-terrain buggies relating to our current DT unit. Children do not need to bring anything special. It's always a good day to look forward to!
Victorian Workshop Payment Reminder
There are still a few outstanding payments for the Victorian Day workshop - please organise this with the school office if you have not already done so to ensure subsided visits such as this can occur for future years too.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend,
Mr Wade & Mr Bird
