Year 6 Weekly Update - 22/5/26

Dear parents and carers,


A scorching end to the week today! Just a few messages for the holidays and return after the half-term break.


PE - back to Mondays

With SATs and bank holidays behind us, PE is returning to its usual Monday slot for Summer 2 term.


Hot Weather

With hotter weather likely to stay now, please ensure children are sent in with water bottles, hats and with suncream applied. Also, while they are still technically allowed at the relevant times it might be an idea to try and discourage Leavers' Hoodies to be worn!


Residential Consent Letters

Residential consent letters went out last week to all children attending our trip this year. Most have been returned already (thank you) but a polite reminder that all need to be in as soon as possible after half term.


Production - Lines/Homework

No SATs companion or spelling homework has been set for the holidays; instead children should look to use some time over the holidays to really get to grips with their production role lines. All major and mid roles have been given their own physical copy of the script, which they will bring home today, and a digital copy is always available on Google Classroom. The aim is to have children off-script by the end of the first week of rehearsals next term.
