Mr Bird's morning football club Friday 6th February has been cancelled due to the weather! Your child should attend school at the normal time or be booked into breakfast club.

Thursday 5th February. We apologise for the very short notice but streetdance and singing and drama clubs are cancelled today. If possible, please do not attend school until the usual time this morning and arrange to collect your child as usual at the end of the day. Year 5/6 pupils with parental permission to walk home at the end of the day, will be released as normal unless we are advised otherwise.

These will be in the Year 5 classroom in the new block. Please follow the footpath through the green gates by the Adventure Golf. You will also be able to look at your child's books.

We are still fully immersed in the world of Peter Bunzl’s Cogheart  as we prepare to write our own explanation texts . Our final trip Around the Wonderful World takes us to China , where we will be celebrating Chinese New Year – the Year of the Horse . Throughout the week, the children will be immersed in learning about Chinese New Year traditions and cultural aspects through a range of exciting activities. In maths, we will be comparing quantities using lucky red envelopes . Our story focus, The Great Race  by Emily Hiles , will help the children understand why the Chinese New Year animals
