What a wonderful week we have had! The children have really embraced the wonders of the ocean and are well on their way to becoming the next Greta Thunbergs, showing fantastic passion for protecting our seas and marine life.
Next week, we will meet some very special sea creatures in our wonderful story,
The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. This heartwarming tale follows a tiny snail who longs to see the world. When she hitches a ride on the tail of a great humpback whale, the pair embark on an incredible adventure across oceans and continents, discovering just how much even the smallest creatures can achieve.
Our maths focus will be all about counting beyond 20, helping us to build confidence and develop those important skills as we get ourselves Year 1 ready.
Monday is Parent Pop-In, and alongside this, the wonderful WPSA will be hosting a pre-loved uniform sale; the perfect opportunity to pick up some quality summer uniform and Sports Day tops.
On Tuesday afternoon, the children have the exciting opportunity to take part in a STEM session with our IT expert, Mr Wade, alongside some fantastic Year 6 pupils.
Finally, on Thursday, we will be in full celebration mode ahead of our INSET Day on Friday. We will be completing our Rainbow Reader check; remember, four reads each week earns children a prize! We will also be awarding our Star of the Week
✨ In the afternoon, the children will meet their Year 1 teachers. ✨
This will be a lovely opportunity to begin building meaningful connections, explore their new classrooms and start getting excited about their next big adventure.
We hope you enjoy the bonus day together on Friday, and we would love to see any adventures shared on Tapestry so that we can celebrate them with the class. Have a wonderful long weekend! 🌈🐋🐌
