Welcome Back!

What a fantastic start to the week for both Poppies and Violets!

We hope you all had a wonderful summer filled with fun and special memories.

We’d like to share a few important reminders with you:

• PE will continue to take place on Tuesdays, and the children will once again be working with the PE coaches.

• Spellings will be uploaded to Wix every Friday after school. These will form part of the children’s homework and will be tested the following Friday. Please note that spelling books will remain in school and will not be sent home this year.

• As part of their weekly homework, we encourage children to read at least four times per week. Becoming a confident reader is key to accessing all areas of the curriculum. The children will soon be taking an NRGT Reading test to assess their reading age. Please make sure to log any reading in their reading records and ensure these are brought into school daily in case an adult reads with them.

• Show and Tell will take place on Fridays only. Children are welcome to bring something in to share on that day.

• Finally, we’ve sent home a colouring competition sheet (a picture of a train). This is optional, but if your child would like to take part, please return the completed entry to school once it's finished.
