We hope you have all had a wonderful and restful summer break! We are so excited to welcome the children back tomorrow to start another fantastic school year.
We will be easing into the new term by focusing on well-being and transition. Our first week will be dedicated to Zola's Happy Hearts and Minds, where we’ll spend time exploring mental health, settling into our new routines, and supporting the children through this exciting transition into Year 5. Regarding our dojo post, please don't worry if you haven't got any photos from the summer holidays, this is just part of a transition activity.
From next week, we will jump into our core lessons:
English & Reading: We are kicking off with the thrilling story of Beowulf and Grendel, which links directly to our upcoming History topic.
Maths: We will be exploring place value, building strong foundational skills for the term ahead.
Important Weekly Info
PE: Our PE sessions will take place on Friday mornings, so please ensure children come to school in their PE kits on Fridays (starting next week).
Miss Jackson will have release time on Mondays, and her class will be taught by Mr. Stainsbury.
Mr. Rothwell will have release time on Tuesdays, and his class will be taught by Mr. Towler.
We can't wait to see all of their bright, smiling faces tomorrow morning! Miss Jackson, Mr Rothwell and Mrs Doherty
