We just wanted to say a huge well doneĀ to all of the children in Poppies and VioletsĀ for such a wonderful first two days back at school! ššŗ
The children have returned to school so ready to learn, full of enthusiasm and genuinely excited about all of the wonderful learning ahead of them this year. We have been incredibly proud of the positivity, kindness and enthusiasm they have already shown. What a fantastic way to begin Year 2! ā
We have had a wonderful two days getting to know the children even better, exploring their new classrooms and learning about some of the strategies they can use to maintain a happy, positive mindsetĀ that will help them to learn, persevere and thrive. We have enjoyed lots of lovely activities together, both inside the classroom and outdoors, and it has been such a special opportunity to settle into our new Year 2 family. š„°
We even topped off our first week with a whole-Year-2 game of Wizards, Elves and Giants!Ā š§āāļøš§āāļøš¹ If you are wondering what on earth that involves, please do ask your child ā it is great fun! š
š Reading
All of the children have now brought home a reading book and reading record, so they can begin enjoying their reading at home. We are really looking forward to working together to help the children develop their confidence, fluency and, most importantly, their love of reading.
