EYFS messages

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach our last full week next week, we will be celebrating the wonderful year the children have had and all that they have achieved.

On Friday 17th July, we will be holding a Graduation Ceremony to celebrate the children’s achievements throughout the year. Videos of the ceremony will be uploaded to Tapestry for you to enjoy.

Also on Friday in the afternoon, we will be holding a talent show. Children are welcome to share a skill or talent, and may bring in suitable props or dressing-up clothes if needed. In previous years, children have enjoyed showing off football skills, kung fu, dancing, telling jokes, magic tricks, bicycle tricks, singing and much more. We can take song requests to go with their performance!

There is no expectation for every child to take part; children are also very welcome to enjoy being part of the audience.

We will still have a story focus next week, 'The Mess That We Made' by Michelle Lord. This is a fun and imaginative story about a group of children who make a big mess while playing, before working together to put everything right. It provides lots of opportunities to talk about teamwork, responsibility and caring for our environment.

During the final two days of term (20th-21st July), we have a few special activities planned. On Monday, children may bring in a board game of their choice to play and share with their friends. Please do not send in any electrical devices.

On Tuesday morning, there will be a whole-school awards ceremony to celebrate the children’s achievements.

We are looking forward to a lovely final week and few days together.
