The role of a school in a child's life is immeasurable. Not only is it our duty as educators to ensure that every child leaves us in Year 6 with the skills necessary to access the next step in their education, but also to ensure they has the building blocks needed to become a happy, healthy and productive member of society. England’s National Curriculum is based on an understanding of the nature of every human being, and what gives us a deeper understanding of our social and emotional lives (Sedgwick, 1993, p. 56). As a race we have a fundamental need to make visual expression of who and what we are (Barnes, 2015, p. 7). 

 

Beyond the National Curriculum, we offer our pupils exciting, engaging opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to explore and enquire in each of our foundation subjects.
