"To enable our children to be determined and resilient through competitive sport, physically demanding activities whilst embracing a positive and healthy body and mind."

PROGRESSION IN PE: Our first two images are of Gymnastics lessons. Children were first taught some basic gymnastic shapes, such as ‘Pike’, ‘Star’, ‘Arch’ and ‘Dish’, before moving onto more complex shapes. Children are challenged further by exploring a range of increasingly ambitious balances, progressing to completing these alongside a partner.
Similarly in Yoga, children learn a range of poses of increasing difficulty, in which both balance and breathing are paramount. The third image shows some of our pupils demonstrating control in a ‘Tree’ pose, one of the hardest poses to successfully accomplish.
